The Great Kindness Challenge is over with Mrs. Trenary’s 6th grade class winning the competition for the most kind acts. This is by far my favorite week during the school year. Our students show up every day with kind hearts, but this week brings that extra thoughtfulness.

5th grade working the Kindness Challenge.
The Verona R-VII School District is looking for an energetic individual for a paraprofessional position for the immediate 2022 school year. The ideal candidate will be empathetic and caring toward our students. Verona is a 4 day school week with Fridays off. Applicants must have at least 60 hours of college credit, a qualifying Praxis exam, or the ability to gain such credentials. Some of the activities for the Great Kindness Challenge Week include each elementary classroom's display of kindness acts, completed throughout the week. Many are off to a "kind" start, as shown by the blooming tree of Ms. Vargas' preschool class to the brick wall being built by Mrs. Trenary's 6th grade class. Can't wait to see how many more will added by the end of the week!
Algunas de las actividades para la Semana del Gran Desafío de la Bondad incluyen la exhibición de actos de bondad de cada aula de primaria, completada durante la semana. Muchos han tenido un comienzo "amable", como lo muestra el árbol en flor de la clase de preescolar de la Sra. Vargas hasta la pared de ladrillos que está construyendo la clase de sexto grado de la Sra. Trenary. ¡No puedo esperar a ver cuántos más se agregarán al final de la semana!
