Mark your calendars! Scholastic Book Fair starts December 4th!!

We will have full days of school both Monday, November 20th and Tuesday, November 21st!

Just a reminder there is no after school band on Tuesday November 21st or 28th. Brass and Percussion students may attend on Monday (the 20th and 27th) if they would like.
2053!! That is how many items Verona Elementary students and staff donated to our Thanksgiving Food Drive! From this we were able to give large contributions to Crosslines in Monett, Christian Service Center in Aurora, and our very own backpack program. Thanks for your support!

Today was Hiland kids day at the Drury Lady Panthers game. The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students had a great time! The crowd went wild when the Lady Panthers scored 100!

Who is following along for updates on Pumpkin Jack in Mrs. Shook's room? If you didn't know, they put Jack inside a jar when he was a freshly carved pumpkin, now they are watching him decompose into the soil to sprout in the spring as a new pumpkin plant. Here is Jack today.

Ms. Castillo's and Mrs. Phillip's 4th grade classes had a tug of war battle this morning to learn about balanced and unbalanced forces!

Purple band worked through a musical escape room today for Olympic team points!

Congratulations!

We have been learning about the different types of weather in Mrs. Shook's classroom. Today after learning about how snow is formed we made our own snow! ❄️

Mrs. Ruiz-Diaz and Mrs. Neely's Wildcat classes, joined forces with Ms. Castillo's 4th graders to do a little community service today. They did a great job raking leaves at the senior housing, and beautifying our community.

The Band Olympics have officially begun! 5th and 6th graders and Middle school band members are competing in teams for the Gold! Members can earn points for practice, taking their instrument home, playing tests, and various events that will take place over the year!
The first event was to create the team flag!
Encourage your student to participate and earn points for their team!

Some of our Junior High and High School Wildcat classes are hosting a school-wide food drive to help those in our local communities. Please consider making a donation. Details are listed here!

Verona staff like to dress up for the Fall holiday, too!

Verona Elementary students dressed up to end Red Ribbon Week and celebrate their Fall parties.

We experienced a little magic in Mrs. Shook's class as we saw letters magically appear in our cauldrons. We also made special treats that were to die for. 👻
