Students in Mrs. Shook's class have been learning about the butterfly life cycle. We have watched in our classroom as they went from caterpillars to in their chrysalis and finally butterflies. This morning, we were able to take them outside to release. 🦋

Playground too wet? No problem! Jump rope, sidewalk chalk, and drawing under the pavilion. We are so blessed to have a dry place to play outside after our final day of MAP testing.

Reminder: The Band’s Spring Concert and Awards Ceremony is tomorrow evening! 🗓 Date: Thursday, May 8 🕕 Time: 6:00 PM 📍 Location: Verona New Gym The concert will include performances by the 5th–6th Grade Band and the 7th–12th Grade Band, with awards given throughout the program. Families are welcome and encouraged to come support their students’ hard work. See you there!

*Wildcat Athletes and Band Members* CoxHealth Mobile is scheduled to be here at school on Thurs May 8th for sports/band physicals. If there are not at least 10 signed up (with paperwork) then they will not come to our school. We need to have the numbers by Wed. The cost is $25 which is standard, but the benefit is the convenience of being here on campus. Exceptions can be made for financial hardships. It is required for all athletes Grade 6 and up starting next year. Contact Nurse Shara for more information!!

Preschool earned all of our reward stars!We celebrated with s'more, classroom camping, and a movie! We also celebrated how amazing they did during such a scary time for them during the tornado warnings last Tuesday. I am so very proud of them! Way to go!
